A comprehensive development platform for BLE beacon systems
Sold Out
Multiple Analog to Digital converters, multiple SPI channels, i2c, high current drivers, multiple UART channels, bypass converter control, completely customizable code running on an integrated MCU….
Can your beacon do that ?
The board is based on the BLE112 and features twin CR2032 coin cell holders and the TI DC/DC QFN Bluetooth converter with bypass for enhancing battery life. The board breaks out all available BLE112 pins to twin external headers for easy breadboard interface. The iBdk may be powered by the coin cell batteries, external power applied to the external power terminal or by connecting a USB cable. I have included the Solder jumper SJ1, you can open this to test the current draw of the board (critical during firmware development). The board also has a right angle on/ off switch at lower right. There is full USB hardware support and this will allow you to flash your firmware without the need for a CC Debugger!
The units will have firmware that will broadcast the device name (“your name here” + unique MAC address of the chip) at 2.5 second intervals and also advertises its battery level. Current firmware and shop testing shows this board is lasting WELL OVER 1 YEAR. We are going to validate this through field testing and further bench endurance testing. Supplying this firmware will give you a good base for development.
