BLE112 breakout board with USB, LEDs, Vreg and coin cell battery holder.
Only a few left!
NEW: 3D CAD model available. Use this link to view if your browser supports 3D modelling! You may also download the 3D STEP file below. PDF and Eagle Schematic and Board files are also available below. This is the beginning of our shift to 100% open source. Thank you for helping us become successful!
We have decided to consolidate all of our BLE112 board designs into one. You can also now choose between the BLE112-A and BLE112-E. Note the BLE112-E variant may not ship immediately.
iBeacon test bed?? This board would provide a great test bed for your iBeacon design. In most cases this board will meet your needs as an actual iBeacon device! Ask us to include our basic advertise only firmware if you would like to use this as an iBeacon!
This breakout board that has a 20mm coin cell battery holder on the backside, allowing it to be fully autonomous. It now breaks out ALL BLE112 pins to the header rows. There is a blue LED on P1_0 and a red LED on P1_1 (NEW!). The board now also has FULL USB support! You can use this for USB communication or just as an easy way to power the board! I am looking into modifying the initial firmware to allow for firmware upload via USB so you will no longer need a CC Debugger for programming!
This is the swiss army knife of all BLE112 breakout boards. You may use it in the following ways:
3.3v direct: Supply the board with 3.3v on the 3.3v pin, no need for the voltage regulator or the coin cell battery to be utilized or even mounted. No selection made on the solder jumper.
4- 20v raw input: Supply 4- 20v to the RAW pin and utilize the 3.3v regulator to power the unit. No need to mount the coin cell holder. Solder jumper set to “REG”.
Coin cell operation: Mount the coin cell battery holder on the back side and use the coin cell to power the board directly, a truely wireless stand alone application. No need to mount the 3.3v reg. Solder jumper set to “BAT”.
USB cable: Simply plug the cable in and allow the onboard regulator to reduce the 5v power signal to 3.3v.
CC Debugger: The CC Debugger will power the board when connected to the programming header. Be sure the battery and USB cable are removed prior to connecting the CC Debugger.
Even with all of the components mounted simultaniously you may use the board in any of these power modes!
You will require a CC Debugger to program this board, you can add one to your cart here!
Due to increased dangerous goods restrictions, the boards will no longer ship with the lithium ion coin cell batteries. They are easily procurable however at your local hardware or electronics store (even with shipping charges it is still probably cheaper to have them overnight shipped from Digikey, click here)!!
